2017 NROTC AWARDS

Each year the Atlanta Navy League honors the highest ranking NROTC midshipman from both Georgia Tech and Morehouse College with the distinguished Navy League Sword. Here are this year's winners.

2017 ANNUAL JROTC AND NSCC YOUTH AWARDS BANQUET

April and May were busy months for the Atlanta Metropolitan Council - planning, activities, and then awarding the Navy League's prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Medal and Ribbon to the "Outstanding Unit Cadets" from 45 Navy/Marine Corps JROTC units, and 9 Naval Sea Cadet Corps units in the greater Atlanta area. Council officers, board and regular members visit many of the schools and units to personally present the award to these deserving cadets.

This led to our biggest council event of the year, the 24th Annual Youth Awards Banquet, on Thursday, 11 May 2017. This event celebrated the culmination of a year of hard work, learning, competition, community service and fun for over 3,500 cadets, almost 100 Naval Science instructors and supportive family and friends..

The attending "Outstanding Unit Cadets" at this banquet, through an application and brief interview process, competed for the "Cadet of the Year Award". We congratulate the winners.
